Rolls-Royce PLC, London, named Deputy Chairman Sir Ralph Robins its first chief executive, a position created to provide coordination of its aerospace and industrial divisions, which arose out of the purchase of Northern Engineering Industries. Also, Stewart C. Miller, executive director of Rolls-Royce Engineering, was named managing director of the aerospace group, and Terry Harrison, managing director of NEI, was appointed managing director of the industrial power group--including NEI, and Rolls-Royce’s industrial and marine operations, among others.
