Tina’s Tired: There won’t be an Ike & Tina reunion at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Awards ceremony in New York next month. The duo is being inducted into the hall, but Ike is still serving time in California for drug crimes. Tina, who described her ex-husband in her memoirs as cruel and domineering, is living in Europe and will skip the show because she wants to get on with an indefinite sabbatical after a nine-month tour that concluded in November. “Tina feels emotionally unequipped to return to the U.S. and respond to the night of celebration in the manner she would want,” a spokeswoman said.
