Concert Deaths: A spokeswoman for the Utah concert hall where three fans were crushed to death by a crowd at an AC/DC concert last week disputed witnesses’ accounts that the heavy-metal band played on while the three fans were being crushed. “As far as we know, the band stopped when they were asked,” said Alisa Spilman, spokeswoman for the Salt Palace. Fans standing near the stage for Friday night’s concert were sandwiched when people in the rear pressed forward shortly after the band began playing, police said. Two 14-year-old boys and a 19-year-old woman died and the woman’s college roommate was injured. Witness Scott Neil, 17, said people were yelling at the five-member band to stop, but the group either couldn’t hear or wasn’t paying attention.
