Seth E. Schofield has been elected president and chief executive of USAir Group and its principal subsidiary, USAir, effective June 1. Schofield has served as president and chief operating officer of the Arlington, Va.-based carrier since June, 1990.
Schofield succeeds Edwin I. Colodny as chief executive of USAir and as president and chief executive of USAir Group. Colodny, who will be 65 years old in June, will remain as chairman of the boards of USAir Group and USAir.
