Unocal Negotiating Sale of Unit: Unocal Corp. said it has entered into negotiations with Louis Dreyfus Energy Corp. to sell its gasoline distribution operations in the southeastern United States. Unocal, which has been refocusing on its core Western businesses, put the Atlanta-based operations on the auction block last February. Unocal didn’t reveal what price was being discussed for the business, which includes 25 distribution terminals and contracts with 200 independent marketers who buy Unocal-brand gas in bulk to sell at 4,200 gas stations.
