Archive Corp. Considers Moving
COSTA MESA — Archive Corp., a maker of computer storage equipment, is considering moving from its current site in Orange County to try to lower its business cost, the company’s chief financial officer said Monday.
B.J. Rone, chief financial officer, said the company has made no decision to move yet. Nor has it set a time limit for making a decision. But he said the company will study whether to move outside the county--or to a cheaper site within the county--after the leases expire for its corporate headquarters in Costa Mesa.
“Archive is taking a look at where it needs to be to have the lowest operating costs,” he said. “This is the same problem that all of industry has to deal with. But no decision has been made.”
