Cold War Victors

Phil Gramm’s keynote speech at the Republican convention, he repeatedly stated that Presidents Reagan and Bush were solely responsible for the end of the Cold War, the dismantling of the Berlin Wall and the fall of the Soviet Union. If the Republicans are so eager to take credit for these things that they had almost nothing to do with, why don’t they do the same for the ones they did--S&L; failures, homelessness, record unemployment, inner-city abandonment and a skyrocketing national debt?
