John R. Kimberly, 89, former chairman and chief executive of Kimberly-Clark Corp. He was the grandson of John A. Kimberly, a founder of Kimberly-Clark, maker of Kleenex tissue, Huggies diapers and other paper products. He was elected president of the company in 1953 and chairman and chief executive officer in 1955. Kimberly remained a director of the company until 1977. During World War II, he served as deputy director of the War Production Board. In Easton, Md., on Sunday of undisclosed causes.
