RESTAURANTS / RETAIL : Go-Getters Can Get Food to Go at Emporio Armani Express

As the name implies, Emporio Armani Express is a restaurant for people on the go. Now the South Coast Plaza eatery is going to offer food for people in such a hurry that they can’t even sit down.

The restaurant now has a “to go” menu featuring many of the pizzas, salads, sandwiches and appetizers on the regular menu. “This is fast food for the culinary aficionado,” said Enzo De Muro, who operates the bistro in the Costa Mesa mall. “It’s an opportunity for people to enjoy fine dining when they don’t have time to spend in a restaurant.”

The restaurant is next door to the Emporio Armani clothing store in the middle of the giant shopping center. It plans to expand the “to go” concept with a delivery service next month and accept orders by fax.
