FHP Is Growing: FHP Inc., another Orange County HMO, said it is expanding its Independent Practice Assn. in the county with the addition of a new health plan.
Called the North Orange County IPA Plan and available to both corporations and Medicare recipients, the plan includes affiliations with Anaheim Memorial Hospital and Gateway Medical Center, both in Anaheim.
The health plan will be kicked off with a ceremony at Gateway Medical Center on Saturday. Free health screenings and fitness demonstrations for senior citizens will be offered.
IPAs are contractual agreements that link HMOs with local medical centers and physician groups.
