Deal Down Under: Carrera Computers Inc. in Laguna Hills, a start-up company that designs computers, said that it will supply its Cobra R4000 microprocessor systems to an Australian reseller of personal computers.
Carrera officials said the company signed a deal with Ari Labs in Doncaster, Australia. Ari will use Carrera’s motherboard, or main processing circuit board that houses the main computing unit, in a new line of computers called the XR-4000 series.
Mohan Ari, managing director of Ari Labs, said that his company expects sales of the new systems to hit $2 million next year. Carrera began shipping its new microprocessor systems in January.
