Home-Buying Assistance: A seminar to help qualify potential moderate-income home buyers for special financing under the federal Community Homebuyers program is set for 8:30 a.m. March 27 at the Anaheim Assn. of Realtors office.
The program is open to those with annual household incomes of $63,200 or less.
Completion of the 3 1/2-hour seminar qualifies participants to apply for a financing program that includes 5% down payments and reduced closing costs and allows a portion of the down payment to come from gifts, rather than requiring that it all be the buyer’s earned income.
In addition to the Community Homebuyers program, sponsored by the quasi-governmental Federal National Mortgage Assn., the seminar will cover a variety of government-sponsored financing options for low- and moderate-income buyers.
The Anaheim Assn. of Realtors holds the seminars on the last Saturday of each month. To make reservations, call (714) 774-0826.
