Rocketdyne Completes Space Station Phase Work
Rockwell International Corp.’s Rocketdyne division in Canoga Park said it has completed the design-review phase of the electrical power system it is building for the proposed Space Station Freedom.
Rocketdyne, one of the prime contractors for the space station, said the review addressed all aspects of the electrical power system design and confirmed that the designs are appropriate for flight.
The review was chaired by Ronald Thomas, director of the Space Station Freedom Directorate, and George Hallinan, Rocketdyne’s program manager for the space station project. The review team included representatives from NASA, the Johnson Space Center and the Marshall Space Flight Center.
