Lockheed, Machinists Union to Resume Talks: Labor and management representatives at Lockheed Corp. expect to return to the bargaining table this week after a vote at three union locals to authorize a strike if a new contract is not negotiated. Meetings have tentatively been scheduled at Lockheed’s Palmdale, Calif., Marietta, Ga., and Sunnyvale, Calif., plants, a spokesman for the International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers said. About 11,500 IAM members at the three Lockheed units are working under an extension of a March, 1990, labor agreement.
