Philip Laskawy will succeed Ray Groves as chairman of Ernst & Young when Groves retires in October, 1994.
Laskawy, 52, was named deputy chairman for the interim period, working for Groves. He now heads the firm’s New York office.
Groves, 58, has held the top spot at Ernst & Young, the world’s second-largest accounting and consulting firm, since 1977.
