Machines to Provide Tickets, Checks: Consumers across the nation will soon be able to pick up pre-ordered airline tickets and traveler’s checks from machines placed in stores and other convenient locations, under the venture with Docunet Inc. The San Francisco-based company said it will be joined by Olivetti of Italy, Bell Atlantic Corp., Chemical Banking Corp. and General Motors Corp.’s Electronic Data Systems in building a network of the machines, to be introduced in Washington this fall. Southern California’s Ralphs chain has agreed to install them in 170 supermarkets by early 1995, said Vajid Jafri, Docunet’s president.
