Helen Northmore Jones; Prominent Fund-Raiser
Helen Northmore Jones, believed to be in her 90s, who with her late husband, Emmett H. Jones, president of Terminal Oil Co., was prominent in raising funds for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Music Center, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Assistance League of Southern California. During World War II she was in charge of entertainment for the Red Cross in Southern California. After her husband’s death she moved to Laguna Beach, where she supported the Laguna Art Museum and Festival of Arts. In Laguna Beach on Oct. 11.
