Profit Increases 82% at Burlington Air Express

Burlington Air Express, an Irvine transportation services company that is a subsidiary of Pittston Co., posted an operating profit of $69.2 million, up 82% from $38 million for the 1993 fiscal year. Revenue was up 22% to $1.2 billion from $998,079. Fourth-quarter operating profit increased 28% to $17.2 million from $13.4 million. Revenue rose 25% to $339.6 million from $272.1 million.
