Fidelity National Financial Inc.: The company said Thursday that it has purchased privately held Western Title Company of Seattle for about $3.2 million in cash, giving the company an inroad into the Washington market.
Also Thursday, Fidelity said its board has authorized repurchase of 2 million shares of the company’s common stock, part of a total of 7 million shares Fidelity said last year that it would buy back.
Fidelity, based in Irvine, is an underwriter that issues title insurance and offers related services through subsidiaries such as Fidelity National Title Insurance Co. and American Title Insurance Co.
