EDS Completes Acquisition of A.T. Kearney: Plano, Tex.-based Electronic Data Systems Corp. said it completed the acquisition of the closely held management consultant for $300 million in cash and notes. EDS, the largest computer services company in the world, said it will merge its management consulting unit with Chicago-based A.T. Kearney to create a unit with 3,600 employees and $500 million in annual revenue. EDS, which runs complex computer systems for other companies, said it made the acquisition to expand its consulting business into more industries. EDS, a unit of General Motors Corp., is expected to become a $21-billion stand-alone company when the nation’s No. 1 car maker spins it off in the first half of next year.
