Fidelity National Financial Posts Nearly Sevenfold Income Gain
Fidelity National Financial Inc., an Irvine title insurance underwriter, posted net income of $6.9 million, or 54 cents a share, for the second quarter, compared with net income of $1 million, or 8 cents a share, for last year’s second quarter. Revenue increased 80% to $171.6 million from $95.5 million. Net earnings for the six-month period totaled $12.1 million, or 94 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $2.2 million, or 17 cents a share, for the first half of 1995. Revenue grew 67% to $298 million for the period from $178.6 million.
