Quiksilver Posts Higher Income and Sales
COSTA MESA — Quiksilver Inc., which designs and distributes sportswear, snowboard wear and swimwear, reported higher net income and sales for the third fiscal quarter.
Net income for the three months ended July 31 climbed 9% to $2.5 million, or 35 cents a share, from $2.3 million, or 33 cents a share, a year ago. Sales rose 15% to $49 million from $42.7 million. Net income for the nine-month period increased 21% to $9.1 million, or $1.26 a share, from $7.5 million, or $1.06 a share, for the same period of the prior year. Sales were up 16% to $144 million from $123.7 million.
