Dole Food Expecting Good 3rd-Quarter Results
Dole Food Co. in Westlake Village said it expects its third-quarter financial results to be significantly higher than last year, and in line with the lower end of analysts’ estimates.
The giant food concern made the announcement Thursday; its stock closed the day at $43 a share, up $1, in New York Stock Exchange trading.
Dole, with 1995 revenue of $3.8 billion, is the world’s largest producer and marketer of fresh fruit and vegetables. It also sells packaged food.
