Denny’s CEO Resigns: C. Ronald Petty, who is also president of the restaurant chain, has resigned after bringing the chain back from sagging sales and widespread charges of discrimination. Petty headed the chain, which is part of Flagstar Cos., for 3 1/2 years. His resignation was effective Monday. Spartanburg, S.C.-based Flagstar said its chairman, James B. Adamson, will oversee Denny’s until Petty’s replacement can be found.
