Irvine Sensors Corp.: The Costa Mesa manufacturer of infrared devices and high-density packages of computer electronics said it lost $1.5 million for the first fiscal quarter ended Dec. 29, compared with a net loss of $1.3 million for the same period a year ago. Revenue increased 42% to $3.7 million from $2.6 million. The company said expenses were higher because of its acquisition of a cubing line from IBM.
