Tips Sought in Killing of Bookstore Manager
The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a murder suspect in the Nov. 8 killing of a bookstore manager.
The Super Crown Book Store on Wilshire Boulevard is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer of Michael K. Nagel, officials said.
Nagel, who had been recently promoted to manager after working for Crown for about a year, was shot and killed during a robbery, police said.
Based on her interviews of 14 witnesses, forensic artist Jeanne Boylan on Thursday released a rendering of the suspect that is available through the Santa Monica Police Department.
The suspect is a 17- to 21-year-old man and is described as short and thin with dark hair and eyes.
