Del Taco CEO Wins Golden Chain Award
Del Taco Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Kevin K. Moriarty has been named winner of the Golden Chain Award for 1997. The award, presented by Nation’s Restaurant News, is considered the restaurant industry’s most prestigious award.
Moriarty will receive the Golden Chain honor during the 38th Annual Multi-Unit Foodservice Operators Assn. meeting in Los Angeles in early October. Moriarty joined Laguna Hills-based Del Taco, which is the nation’s second-largest Mexican-style fast-food chain, in 1990. He helped to revive sales at the privately held, 300-unit restaurant chain, which now has sales of about $250 million.
