Just recently we had sent the kids to tennis camp, so we were alone for the week. For dinner one night we ate leftover Chinese food that had been in the refrigerator for three days so it had built up this great flavor intensity. We rented ‘Lone Star,’ a movie of a more adult nature than usual, and watched it while we ate this mound of microwaved Chinese food. I had just procured a few bottles of Zind-Humbrecht wines, so we decided to try the 1995 Gewurztraminer ‘Heimbourg.’ The wine was wonderful, but it didn’t dominate the dinner or the evening. It was just my wife and I, and we were able to watch the movie and have a dialogue. The wine really added to that.
