Emulex Corp.: The Costa Mesa computer-products company said it lost $12.8 million, or $2.08 a share, for the third fiscal quarter ended March 29, which included $12.9 million in pretax charges related to the planned closure of its Puerto Rico manufacturing operations. For the like period in 1997, net income totaled $1.1 million, or 18 cents a share. Revenue declined 12% to $15 million from $17 million. For the nine-month period, the net loss was $11 million, or $1.80 a share, contrasted with net income of $649,000, or 10 cents a share, recorded a year earlier. Revenue dropped 7%, to $45.5 million from $49 million.
