GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS
C.A. Rasmussen Inc. of Simi Valley has been awarded a contract for $1.38 million by Ventura County to widen an earthen ditch on the west end of Doris Avenue in Oxnard. The project is designed to make the ditch wide enough to carry water from 100-year storm flows.
The project is scheduled to be completed by June.
* Whitaker Contractors in Santa Margarita has been awarded a contract for $316,028 by Ventura County to build a flood channel on the Arroyo Simi near Stearns Street. The channel, at the Metrolink railroad crossing, is designed to provide 50-year flood protection to adjacent property.
The project is scheduled to begin this month and continue until June.
* Talley Corp., doing business as Teleflex Control Systems in Oxnard, won a $117,725 contract from the Defense General Supply Center in Richmond, Va., for aircraft components and accessories.
* Galaxy Die & Engineering Inc. of Saugus won a $91,375 contract from the Defense Industrial Supply Center in Philadelphia for shipboard watertight door upgrade kits.
