Consulting Firm Hired to Lure More Business
The city has hired a consulting firm, Chabin Concepts Inc., for $40,000 to come up with a plan to attract more business to Irvine.
The economic development consultants will study business growth opportunities, with emphasis on the following industries: semiconductors and related devices, computer peripheral equipment, computer storage, electro-medical equipment, and surgical appliances and supplies.
City officials, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, will use the study in promotional efforts nationwide.
