Spotlight: Budget Rent A Car of Beverly Hills Nets 10 Beetles

Volkswagen dealers say they can’t get them fast enough, but 10 hot-selling new Beetles have found their way to Budget Rent A Car of Beverly Hills, where they are being offered at a not-so-budget rate of $75 a day. The rental agency, which specializes in exotic cars for Hollywood’s elite--and wannabes--said it acquired its Beetles through a cadre of buyers who signed up on VW dealer waiting lists all over the country. Singer Lyle Lovett was one of the first VW customers, renting a black Beetle on Friday.
