* SBS Technologies Inc. warned that its earnings will be lower than expected in the fiscal second quarter and fiscal 1999, sending its shares plunging $8.38 to close at $9.38 on Nasdaq. SBS said it is comfortable with analyst estimates of 46 cents for first-quarter earnings, which it will report Tuesday. SBS said second-quarter earnings and revenue will be little changed from the first quarter ended Sept. 30. Analysts had forecast earnings of 50 cents, according to First Call. SBS said it expects earnings of $1.70 to $1.85 a share for 1999. Analysts were expecting $2.08. Albuquerque-based SBS makes electronics that are used in avionics devices.
