Natural MicroSystems to Buy Qwes.com
Natural MicroSystems of Framingham, Mass., a maker of Internet-based telecom products, will acquire Qwes.com of Tustin for $58 million, Qwes.com said. Qwes.com, started in 1998, is a small research and development firm that has created a promising line of hardware that helps companies control the flow of data, voice and video files across their computer networks. Natural MicroSystems will pay 1.5 million shares of stock for the company. Natural makes products that streamline the transmission of multimedia presentations and phone calls across Internet protocol networks. Natural MicroSystems’ shares closed at $38.63, up $2, on Nasdaq.
