The Anaheim Convention Center will have an Arts and Athletics festival Jan. 8 to honor its $177.5-million expansion. The festival will include a 3K walk at 8 a.m., a band walk featuring 700 students from Anaheim high schools’ marching bands and demonstrations from martial arts, dance, band, drama and theater groups through 3 p.m. on the second floor of the convention center. The opening highlights the completion of the new quarter-mile-long lobby, the 190-foot Grand Lobby tower and the football-sized Grand Ballroom.
