Cancer Society’s Flower Sales Bloom

The American Cancer Society raised $262,500 during this year’s Daffodil Days campaign, money that will be used to provide services to Ventura County cancer patients and their families, charity officials said.

Sales of the spring flower rose $35,000 from last year, said spokeswoman Maddy Sattler.

“The outstanding support received proves that the people of Ventura County are truly committed to the fight against cancer,” she said.

Society offices are in Oxnard, Ventura, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.

Sales of cut daffodils are made each spring as a symbol of hope in the fight against cancer, Sattler said.
