Business Digest Sold to Pacific Coast Business Times
Ventura-based Business Digest, a newspaper circulated to more than 20,000 business owners and managers in Ventura and Santa Barbara, has been purchased by Pacific Coast Business Times Inc.
Pacific Coast Business Times plans to provide news to the tri-counties on a weekly basis, beginning March 17.
Business Digest was launched by owner and publisher Susan Vinson in May 1989.
Besides the bimonthly news edition, the business produced special-interest publications such as Profiles in Business, Working Parent, and Small Business Tax and Financial Planning Guide.
Last year, the Ventura County Press Club awarded Business Digest a first-place award in the Community Service category and honorable mention for its business columns.
Vinson will remain under contract as director of special projects.
Henry Dubroff, former editor of the Denver Business Journal and business editor of the Denver Post, is the new owner and publisher of the publication.
Dubroff is backed by a Colorado/California investment group. Terms of the sale were not released.
