More than 10,000 city residents and prospective home buyers flooded the sprawling Talega development last weekend during the grand opening of one of the county’s largest housing communities.
Talega Associates unveiled 19 model homes in the development, which, when finished, will increase the city’s population by nearly one-third.
Rita Lamkin, marketing director for the developer, said 25 homes were sold during the weekend. In addition to the pre-opening sales, that brings the total number of home sales to 350.
