Powerwave Purchases Santa Ana Facility
Irvine power amplifier maker Powerwave Technologies Inc. said Thursday that it has purchased the Pacific Corporate Center in Santa Ana from Boeing Realty Corp. for approximately $35.3 million.
The 360,000-square-foot facility, situated on 22 acres, will enable Powerwave to consolidate its manufacturing, Southern California engineering and sales and marketing forces, now located in three separate buildings, the company said. The move is expected to take place over the next six to nine months.
Powerwave is a supplier of high performance power amplifiers for use in wireless communications networks. In a statement, the company said it believes the new facility will provide necessary manufacturing capacity to increase production.
