American National Reports Loss
American National Financial Inc., an Irvine real estate services company, said it lost $332,000, or 5 cents a share, for the first quarter, contrasted with net income of $2.8 million, or 46 cents a share, for the 1999 first quarter. Revenue declined 27% to $17.7 million. The company said quarterly results were hurt by rising interest rates and a continuing decline in refinance activity.
