Shamrock Exec to Head Realty Unit
* Shamrock Holdings Inc. has appointed George Buchler president and chief executive of its real estate division, which the firm is expanding. Buchler had been vice president and chief financial officer of the Burbank-based investment firm established for the Roy E. Disney family. Gregory Martin was appointed to succeed Buchler as CFO.
* Ken Bisnoff has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing at TelePacific Communications, a Los Angeles-based broadband provider.
* Burbank-based Dick Clark Productions Inc. has named Bob Boden senior vice president, production and development. In this position, Boden will aid in creating television program development strategies for the company, as well as perform production duties. Boden is currently executive producer of the company’s prime-time game show series “Greed.”
* Los Angeles-based nutritional supplements supplier Omni Nutraceuticals Inc. has named Herm Rosenman the company’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
* Jamie Chasalow has been promoted to vice president, consumer insight, at Fox Family Worldwide, a division of News Corp. She will oversee research initiatives for Fox Family brands, including Fox Kids Network and Fox Family Channel, among others.
* Bruce W. Brown has been named chairman of Vertel Corp., filling a vacancy that has existed since January 1998. In addition, Brown will continue as chief executive of the Woodland Hills-based maker of telecommunications software. Vertel’s board also approved the appointment of Cyrus Irani as president and chief operating officer. Also, Vertel’s controller, Craig S. Scott, was given the additional title of executive officer.
