Taste Treat

Thank you for the article by Janice Rhoshalle Littlejohn on “Soul Food” (“This Door Didn’t Just Open,” July 22). Since the first episode, it has maintained a uniformly high level of writing and performances that surely makes it (especially creator Felicia Henderson) worthy of many Emmys, NAACP and other awards.

The cliche about achieving universal meaning through convincing presentation of the particular comes to mind. May “Soul Food” continue for several more seasons!
