TRW Inc. said it expected to reap $4 billion to $5 billion in revenue supplying components for the Joint Strike Fighter, awarded last week by the Pentagon to Lockheed Martin Corp.

Cleveland-based TRW, a diversified manufacturer, said its San Diego radio systems unit would develop communications, navigation and identification avionics for the fighter, which could bring in up to $5 billion in decades to come.

The company was negotiating a final subcontract agreement with Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed.
