* Northland Cranberries Inc. of Wisconsin said it made an unsolicited bid to buy Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc.’s juice business for $800 million, including the Ocean Spray brand. Ocean Spray representatives were not available to comment.
* Kmart Corp. said the former head of its supply chain has agreed to cooperate with an investigation into the company’s former management.
* Interpublic Group of Cos., the world’s second-largest owner of advertising agencies, said Chief Executive John Dooner stepped down to lead its McCann-Erickson agency after improper accounting at the unit. Dooner will be replaced by Interpublic Vice Chairman David Bell, the company said.
* Carly Fiorina, chief executive of Hewlett-Packard Co., was paid a $2.93-million bonus after leading the effort to buy and integrate Compaq Computer Corp. Fiorina, who didn’t get a bonus in the previous year, also was given $6.82 million in stock option grants, compared with $13.5 million in fiscal 2001, according to a proxy filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
