Bob Cremins, a Boston Red Sox pitcher who appeared in just four games, in 1927, died Saturday at his home in Pelham, N.Y. He was 98. The first batter Cremins faced was the legendary Yankees slugger Babe Ruth, and Cremins retired him on a grounder to first base.
