Northrop, shipyard workers settle strike

Northrop Grumman Corp., the world’s largest warship builder, reached a tentative agreement with workers at its Pascagoula, Miss., shipyard to end a 27-day strike by giving them more pay than previously offered.
Leaders of the Pascagoula Metal Trades Council accepted the preliminary contract, which will raise pay 15.2% over three years, the Century City-based company said.
