Van Halen-Roth reunion tour?
The Van Halen brothers and David Lee Roth are poised to announce a major reunion that would put them all on tour together for the first time since the Reagan administration -- although we’ve heard that before.
Live Nation, the concert promotion company, has scheduled a news conference for Monday morning at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills for an “announcement of monumental proportions.” The event is slated to be attended by Roth and three Van Halens: guitarist Eddie, drummer Alex and Eddie’s teenage son, Wolfgang.
That’s the lineup that had been expected to tour this summer as the reconstituted Van Halen.
The summer tour fell apart amid much drama and Eddie Van Halen’s reported admission to a rehab program. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March, but no one with the Van Halen surname attended.
