Liz Claiborne may drop brands after shortfall

Liz Claiborne Inc. said it might drop some of its more than 40 clothing labels after fourth-quarter profit failed to meet analysts’ estimates.
Chief Executive William McComb said the company would focus on Kate Spade, Lucky Brand, Juicy Couture and other brands that showed the greatest potential for growth.
