Boeing names new 787 program head

Boeing Co. named Pat Shanahan to replace Mike Bair as head of its 787 Dreamliner program, which is running at least six months behind schedule.
Last week’s announcement that delivery of the first 787 would be delayed until late next year was an embarrassing setback for Boeing, which had insisted for months that it would meet its delivery timetable despite production problems.
