A lawsuit against DuPont Co. claiming that its nonstick Teflon cookware coating could pose health risks to users has been dropped.
The lawsuit against the Wilmington, Del., chemical company was dropped because it failed to convince the court that it deserved class-action status. The case included 22 cases from about 15 states, and all had been consolidated to be heard in U.S. District Court in Des Moines.
